This small gallery contains photos taken during a ride with friends in the caboose of the Verde Canyon Railroad in central Arizona. The railroad was originally established to support mining operations in the Jerome, AZ area and is now primarily used as a ride for tourists. The trip takes visitors from the station in Clarkdale (on the northwest outskirts of Cottonwood AZ) along the Verde River to Perkinsville. At Perkensville, the locomotives switch ends of the train by using a parallel track and then the train returns to Clarkdale.
