This gallery contains a collection of photos taken on the afternoon of Memorial Day, 2022 at Arlington National Cemetery. I began and ended my walk into the cemetery at the Fort Myers entrance, where the Old Post Chapel is located and where funeral services for many service members are conducted. My destination was the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as well as the gravesites of close family friends located across the street from the amphitheater. On the way there and during my return, I was once again struck by how many headstones were simply marked with 'Unknown U.S. Soldier.'

It was a beautiful day with blue skies and large puffy white clouds.
